Introducing the Massey Ferguson 5S

A Premier Dairy and Livestock Tractor

The 5S is the perfect tractor for dairy and livestock applications. Its compact size means it only has a 13 foot turning radius. The loader makes the 5S versatile, and with a 29 GPM oil flow rate, this machine is ready to handle anything.

Key Features of the Massey Ferguson 5S

Operational Costs

Operating costs are so important to stay on top of in an industry with slim profit margins. The 5S works hard to keep your total costs down through low fuel consumption and prolonging machine life. The AGCO Power engine is a 4-cylinder that sips fuel. The DOC, SCR, and SC lower emissions and fuel consumption.

The 5S is equipped with a SuperEco transmission. SuperEco ensures the top speed is reached at low RPM, which lowers the fuel consumption and prolongs engine life. The Massey Ferguson 5S reaches peak engine speed at only 1,550 RPM.

Powertrain

The 5S isn’t only affordable, but it’s also powerful. The largest model offers 145 HP, and 550 Nm of torque.

The 5S has a Dyna-4 transmission, which has optional automatic shifting. The engine and transmission work well together, and you never need to worry about power delivery to the ground, PTO, or hydraulics.

Hydraulic Capabilities

The rear linkage on the 5S offers 6,000 KG of lifting capacity for heavy mounted equipment. The hydraulic capacity of up to 29 gal/min makes this tractor optimal for loader and small implement work.

Not only does it perform well in the field, but also in the barn. The loader combined with the small size makes it great for transporting hay and feed.

Operator Experience

The cab of the 5S is spacious for its size, made possibly by narrow fenders and a small hood. You will find all the features you would expect from a modern and high quality vehicle.

The seats are ergonomic and comfortable, although you can opt for air suspended seats for even more comfort. The digital dashboard displays all the necessary information on tractor performance, engine temperature, and fuel consumption.

The cab has 2 different packages to choose from: the classic model and the deluxe model.

The classic model is the base package that is easy to use, intuitive, and offers everything you need for high performance work.

The deluxe model includes some features that appeal to large scale dairy and livestock operators. This includes an upgraded armrest and a Datatronic 5 terminal compatible with ISOBUS.

Technology

The MF 5S can be equipped with the Fieldstar 5, a straightforward precision farming system. Combined with the Datatronic 5, these systems offer the operator full control of their machine’s productivity in the field.

Other technologies from Massey Ferguson include MF Guide, an auto steering technology that offers hands free steering; MF Section Control which controls seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products so that they don’t overlap; and MF Connect, which allows you and your dealer to connect your fleet so that maintenance is well managed, and you can focus on your operation.
