Articulated tractors cost thousands more than 2-track tractors, but 2-tracks don’t road nearly as well. The Fendt 1100 answers this concern with cab suspension, SmartRide Tracks, and hydraulic cushioning for a smooth ride.

The Fendt 1100 Series has three main advantages over an articulated tractor: lower cost, lower fuel consumption, and better power efficiency. Fendt has also built it with answers to the two greatest concerns of dual track tractors in mind: trouble turning, and uncomfortable roading.
The Fendt 1100 costs considerably less than an articulated tractor, both in initial purchase costs, and in total ownership costs (considering the 3-Year/3,000-Hour full machine warranty that is included, not extra).
The Fendt uses very little fuel. By combining a low engine speed concept with a stepless transmission, the 1100 uses 20% less fuel than articulated tractors of similar size.
The Fendt 1100 reaches max speed and power quicker with the stepless transmission. This means it performs better in hilly terrain, and travels faster than competitive articulated tractors. (It has been tested to do 2 more acres per hour than articulated competitors with a 76′ air seeder. Both tractors were in the same HP range.)
One complaint with dual-track tractors is headland turns with large implements. Fendt answers this by adding an automatic hydraulic pivoting drawbar, with 28 degrees of travel. This significantly reduces drag from the implement and the traction required to turn.
Fendt has added three features to reduce uncomfortable roading, which we need to do a significant amount of in Southern Ontario.
The Fendt 1100 Series has models that range from 511-673 constant horsepower.
